I have been teaching for over 20 years. I currently teach painting and drawing at the College of Marin and a color class and a design class at Santa Rosa Junior College. In addition I have taught painting, figure drawing, drawing and landscape painting at Santa Rosa JC.

For eight years I taught a figure drawing class at the Richmond Art Center and I taught drawing at UC Berkeley in 2004. In all of my teaching I have been excited by observing students engaged in the art process. It creates an opening up of minds and spirits that can grow and develop throughout life.

I have had wonderful teachers, especially Marshall Glasier at the The Art Students League in NYC and Joan Brown at UC Berkeley in an MFA program. Passing on what they gave me and sharing my own excitement and discoveries about the art process and art history as well as contemporary art is what I hope to bring to the classroom.
